Medical Service programs are designed to assist with health care
costs of physician office visits, prescriptions and limited dental
and optometry services. In Jay County, ambulatory equipment is
available on a free loan basis.
Local county health
coalitions develop and oversee individual programs and fund-raising
efforts from community donations.
The new Jay County STD Center offers
counseling, screenings and treatments for sexually-transmitted
diseases. Testing is available the second Tuesday of the month.
The Huntington County Free Health Clinic, open
every Tuesday from 2-6 pm, offers medical screening, prescription
assistance and treatment follow-ups.
